Saudi Arabia was home to 20% of Overseas Filipino Workers in 2023

OFW, short for Overseas Filipino Workers, are considered modern heroes of the Philippine society. Every year, a parent, child, or sibling from a Filipino household leaves the country to work abroad, with various reasons such as to provide for their family, or get out of one's comfort zone.

The 2023 data from the Philippine Statistics Authority highlighted the top destination of OFWs. The visualization shows the Top 8 from the list. Saudi Arabia topped with 20%, accounting for almost half million Filipino workers.
