A Gallup survey of U.S. workers shows the types of artificial intelligence tools they use on the job.
Among respondents, 61% reported using chatbots or virtual assistants, and 36% used AI for writing and editing tasks. AI coding assistants were used by 14%, while 13% used image, video, or audio generators, and 13% used data science or analytics tools. Task, scheduling, or project management tools were used by 13%, meeting assistants or transcription tools by 12%, presentation or slide deck tools by 10%, and AI-powered search or research tools by 10%. Email or communication management tools were reported by 9%, knowledge or information management tools by 8%, and automation or robotic process automation (RPA) tools by 5%. Four percent of respondents used other AI applications.
