Forbes’ 2026 Billionaires List includes a record 35 people under age 30, representing about 1% of the world’s billionaires. Twelve are self-made, while the rest inherited their fortunes.

The highest net worths belong to brothers Clemente and Luca Del Vecchio (Italy), heirs to the EssilorLuxottica eyewear empire. Close behind are the four von Baumbach siblings from Germany, each worth approximately $6.6 billion. They are heirs to Boehringer Ingelheim, a major pharmaceutical company founded in 1885.

The world’s youngest billionaire is Amelie Voigt Trejes (20, Brazil), an heir to WEG, a leading manufacturer of electric motors. She and her two siblings are cousins of Dora and Lívia Voigt de Assis. Together, these seven Voigt cousins (all in their 20s) share a combined fortune of roughly $9.5 billion.

Also notable is 23-year-old Kevin David Lehmann (Germany), heir to the dm-drogerie markt pharmacy chain, with a net worth of $4.9B.

The 12 self-made billionaires built their wealth primarily in AI, tech, and prediction markets. Standouts include the three 22-year-old founders of Mercor (Surya Midha, Brendan Foody, and Adarsh Hiremath), with Surya Midha being the youngest of the group. Former ballerina and MIT grad Luana Lopes Lara (29), co-founder of Kalshi, is currently the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire.

Many of the young heirs come from extremely private families, so public photos are unavailable.
