What airlines are the best for on-time performance?

In spring 2025, nearly a quarter of flights did not arrive on time. That’s the tardiest second quarter for commercial air travel since 2014.

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics defines a flight as on time if it arrives within 15 minutes of the originally scheduled time.

Nearly half of the commercial airlines in the US had fewer flights in the first half of 2025 compared with the same period in 2019. Twelve airlines — or 57% — had worse on-time performances in 2025 than in 2019.
