The number of e-scooter accidents in Germany has more than doubled in the last four years, with an increase of 122.8%. The number of accidents rises sharply, especially during the summer months. It is often young and inexperienced riders who find themselves in risky situations. It is striking that rental scooters account for only 20% of the total number of scooters, but are involved in 39% of accidents. The main reason for this is the lack of experience among occasional riders.
