Pharmaceuticals, Machinery, and Automotive Comprise Half of EU Exports to the U.S.
In 2024, EU exports to the U.S. totaled €532 billion ($576 billion), led by medicinal and pharmaceutical products at €119.8 billion (22.5%), followed by mechanical and industrial machinery (€90.9 billion, 17.1%), automotive and transport equipment (€70.0 billion, 13.2%), and electronic and electrical equipment (€45.5 billion, 8.5%). Collectively, these top categories made up 61.3% of total exports, underscoring their dominant role in EU-U.S. trade.
