Apple makes a big AI push

At WWDC 2024, Apple unveiled two new logos for Apple Intelligence (personal intelligence system) and Siri (virtual assistant). 

While many have criticized the company for being an AI laggard, Apple's new branding suggests it's ready to compete.

For example, recent updates to Siri allow it to maintain the context of conversations between requests, as well as retrieve information from a users emails and photos.

Apple Intelligence also has a range of generative AI features such as "image playground" (creates images from prompts).
