The Premier League’s summer of 2025 wasn’t just about international shopping sprees, clubs also spent big buying from one another. Internal transfers hit €1.2B, showing how much value teams place on proven Premier League talent.
Liverpool led the way with nearly €200M spent within the league, led by the British record transfer of €145M on Newcastle’s Alexander Isak. Chelsea once again played the role of seller, collecting the most in receipts at €188M from 5 different premier league clubs. Brentford also cashed in heavily, receiving €145M, underlining how mid-table clubs continue to profit from the ambitions of the traditional giants.
This churn of talent between rivals highlights the league’s self-sustaining market as money circulates among clubs, strengthening some while forcing others to rebuild. With Newcastle, Arsenal, and Manchester United all making big splashes, the balance of power continues to shift, proving that success in the Premier League is increasingly tied to how well clubs trade not just abroad, but with each other.
