The $6.2 billion from media rights and sponsorships represents approximately 56% of FIFA’s projected 2026 revenue of $11 billion.
The remaining approximately $4.8 billion comes from ticket sales, hospitality packages, licensing fees, merchandise and other commercial streams.
Every one of those categories is also larger in 2026 than 2022 due to the expanded match count and the US market’s commercial premium.
Whether the final confirmed total from media rights and sponsorship exceeds $6.2 billion before July 19 depends on late-stage deals and broadcast supplements typical of major sporting events in their final weeks.
