This map shows how happiness levels compare across countries worldwide, based on the World Happiness Report 2026.
The report uses the Cantril ladder (a scale from 0 to 10) to capture life satisfaction across 147 countries and a sample size greater than 100,000 people.
Scores are averaged from 2023 to 2025 to better capture happiness and well being, and to reduce sampling error.
