Where Data Tells the Story

Global attitudes towards the United States and China reveal a divided international landscape.
Drawing on Pew Research Center’s Spring 2025 Global Attitudes Survey, this chart compares public favourability toward the world’s two leading powers across 24 countries. Traditional U.S. allies such as Japan, South Korea, and Israel cluster firmly in the pro-U.S., anti-China quadrant, while much of Western Europe expresses scepticism toward both powers. Several emerging economies, including Nigeria, Kenya, and Indonesia, show comparatively warmer views of China than the United States, reflecting shifting economic ties and geopolitical hedging. Overall, the data suggests a world that is neither uniformly aligned nor fully polarized, but increasingly fragmented in how it views global leadership.
