Cameroon's President Paul Biya, who is now 92 years old, ranks first among the world's oldest current leaders. Despite his venerable age, he once again took part in the recent elections.

Second place goes to Mahmoud Abbas, who has led Palestine for more than 22 years. He was first Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority, then its Chairman, and today he is President of the State of Palestine. Abbas is also approaching the age of 90.

Rounding out the top three is King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, whose reign has become a symbol of rapid reforms and cautious transformations in one of the world's most traditional states.

It is interesting to note that among the world's oldest leaders are those who came to power relatively recently. These include, for example, Jean-Lucien Savi de Tove of Togo, Mishal al-Sabah of Kuwait, and Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh, who have already made it into the top ten oldest leaders.
