Naver news comment activity is far more concentrated than it appears. According to a 2020 SBS analysis, the top 10% of users produced 73% of all comments, and the top 1% accounted for 25%. Most users contributed very little, resulting in a structure where a small group drives the majority of visible activity. This imbalance highlights the risk of a few voices appearing as the dominant public opinion, underscoring the need for caution when interpreting comment-based sentiment.
