The start of the year is peak season for new resolutions. According to our latest study conducted in collaboration with Skoove, we found that piano students are least likely to stick to their new resolutions at this time of year. Those who start in December have the lowest retention rate after six months, while starting in April, May or June increases their chances of sticking with it in the long term by more than 60%.
The most loyal learners are those who start piano lessons in May, closely followed by April, June and the early autumn months. So if you can plan your lessons or app subscription flexibly, you should consider spring.
