I dove into the data from the WorldRemit annual cost of Christmas study to answer that burning question!

Turns out that of the 24 analyzed countries, Canada🇨🇦 spends the most on Christmas.

Canada is also one of 9 countries where more than 50% of their Christmas spend is used to purchase gifts.

Nigeria🇳🇬 leads the list with the highest spending increase and is estimated that a household will spend 23.7% more on Christmas in 2023 compared to 2022.

Nigeria also makes up one of four countries where the priority of their Christmas expense is giving to splurging on Christmas food.

Meanwhile – in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 80% of their Christmas spending is dedicated to Christmas decorations
