Historical data showing the performance of Bitcoin after "halving".
Bitcoin halving is an event written into Bitcoin's code that cuts the reward for mining new Bitcoins in half, roughly every four years.
This slowly reduces the number of new Bitcoins entering circulation, which could potentially drive up the price of existing Bitcoins.
Bitcoin’s fourth halving is expected to occur sometime in April 2024. After this event, the reward a cryptominer will receive for validating and adding transactions to the blockchain will fall from 6.25 to 3.125.
