Global gold demand for jewelry and investment (bars and coins) totaled 2,042 tons in the first three quarters of 2025, according to the World Gold Council. Jewelry demand accounted for 1,047 tons, while bars and coins made up 947 tons. The top ten countries for gold demand were China (591 tons), India (462), the United States (109), Turkey (76), Iran (58), Russia (51), Saudi Arabia (48), Thailand (38), Vietnam (37), and Germany (36). Together, China and India accounted for more than half of global gold demand.
