📈 The Trillion-Dollar Race: Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia Battle for Market Supremacy
In August 2018, Apple became the first publicly traded U.S. company to reach a market valuation of $1 trillion, climbing to $2 trillion by August 2020, and briefly crossing $3 trillion in January 2022 before stabilizing just below that mark. Microsoft followed, reaching $1 trillion in April 2019, $2 trillion in June 2021, and $3 trillion in January 2024.
Nvidia’s rise has been especially rapid. Starting from a $360 billion valuation in 2022, it skyrocketed to $1 trillion in May 2023, $2 trillion by March 2024, and $3 trillion in June 2024. In a close race among these three tech giants from mid-2024, Nvidia overtook Microsoft in October 2024 and surpassed Apple on November 5, 2025, becoming the world’s most valuable company.
