The total market capitalization of the top 10 U.S. banks has generally mirrored the trend of financial corporation profits. Between 2000–2003 and Q2 2024, the market capitalization grew at an annual rate of 4.7%, slightly trailing the 4.3% annual growth rate of U.S. financial corporation profits.
