The combined market capitalization of J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup reached $1.52 trillion in January 2025—3.3 times higher than in 2000. While J.P. Morgan had the lowest market capitalization among these banks in 2000, by January 2025, its valuation had nearly equaled the combined market capitalization of the other three.
