📈 Market Cap of Top 10 U.S. Banks Soars 43% Year Over Year in January 2025

The combined market capitalization of the top 10 U.S. banks—J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Charles Schwab, PNC Financial, U.S. Bancorp, Truist Financial, and Capital One—jumped 43.2% year over year, rising from $1.67 trillion in January 2024 to $2.39 trillion in January 2025. Leading the surge were J.P. Morgan (+49%, adding $248 billion), Goldman Sachs (+61%, $76 billion), Morgan Stanley (+56%, $80 billion), and Wells Fargo (+44%, $80 billion). Bank of America (+32%, $86 billion) and Citigroup (+43%, $47 billion) also posted strong gains, while Capital One (+51%, $26 billion) stood out among regional banks.
