The dominance of the Magnificent Seven in the S&P 500 weakened in early 2025, marking a shift in market dynamics. Between December 31, 2024, and March 10, 2025, the combined market capitalization of Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta Platforms, and Tesla fell by $2.4 trillion (-13.8%), while the rest of the S&P 500 gained $0.1 trillion (+0.3%). As a result, the Magnificent Seven’s share of the S&P 500’s total market capitalization dropped from 33.7% to 30.4%.
