📈 Food Prices Surge in 2024 After Decline in 2023

The FAO Food Price Index (FFPI) rose by 8.4% from January to November 2024, reversing an 8.2% drop in the same period of 2023. As of November 2024, the year-on-year price increase was 5.7% for total food, 5.9% for meat, 20.1% for dairy, and 32.2% for oils. In contrast, prices for cereals fell by 8.1%, and sugar dropped by 21.7%.
