📈 Chinese Companies Command Nearly 80% of Hong Kong Stock Exchange Market Capitalization

In 2024, Chinese companies accounted for 79.8% of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s total market capitalization, valued at $4.55 trillion. Of this, 60.1% consisted of Non-H Share companies—firms incorporated outside Mainland China but controlled by Mainland individuals—while 19.7% comprised H Share companies, which are incorporated in Mainland China and controlled by Mainland government entities or individuals.
