📈 Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and UAE Hold $1.11 Trillion in U.S. Financial Markets (2024)

As of December 2024, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates collectively held $1.11 trillion in U.S. financial assets. Corporate stocks accounted for the largest share at $776 billion (70%), followed by U.S. Treasury securities and agency bonds at $280 billion (25%), and corporate and other bonds at $54 billion (5%). Among the three, Kuwait ranked first with $456 billion in U.S. investments, followed by Saudi Arabia with $371 billion and the UAE with $282 billion. Over the past five years, the combined share of these three countries in total global holdings of U.S. financial assets has remained stable at approximately 3.3%.
