When Did Each Country Join NATO?

This week, NATO member countries met for their 75th annual summit. The summit was held in Washington, DC and included all members, including newest the member as of this year, Sweden.

The US, Canada, and 30 European countries are members of NATO, which was established in 1949 as a collective defense organization to counter the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
