-Moderate food insecurity involves uncertainty about obtaining food, leading to compromised quality or quantity. Severe food insecurity means lacking access to food for at least one day.
-Between 2021 and 2023, Nigeria had the largest food-insecure population, with over 161 million people who were moderately or severely food insecure.
-Pakistan is the runner-up for most food insecurity, with nearly 106 million people who were food insecure from 2021–2023.
