The US Produced One-Fifth of the World’s Oil in 2022

Did you know that the U.S. has been the world's largest oil producer since 2018? Most of this production is centered around five states: Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota, Alaska, and Colorado.
At a regional level, though, the Middle East accounts for the largest share at 32.8%, compared to North America's 27.0% share.
Interesting fact: This type of chart is called a Voronoi diagram, which inspired the name of this platform.
