This visualization ranks the world’s top 25 fuel producers in 2024 by the physical weight of their output, combining coal, oil, and natural gas production in metric tons.
Importantly, this is a comparison of production by mass, not energy content. Different fuels contain different amounts of energy per ton, so the ranking should not be interpreted as a measure of each country’s total energy production.
