Number of operating nuclear reactors by country
Of the 412 operating nuclear reactors in the world, 93 (about 23%) belong to the United States of America. France ranks second with 56 reactors, and China ranks third with 55 reactors.
Despite the fact that France and China are in the top 3, they are on opposite sides of the ranking in terms of the share of nuclear power in total consumption (France's share of nuclear power in total consumption is over 60%, while China's is only 5%).
