Venezuela holds the world’s largest proven crude oil reserves at 303.8 billion barrels, followed by Saudi Arabia (297.5 billion), Canada (168.1 billion), Iran (157.8 billion), and Iraq (145.0 billion). Global proven crude oil reserves total 1,732 billion barrels, with the Middle East accounting for the largest share (835.9 billion barrels, 48%), followed by South & Central America (323.4 billion, 19%), North America (242.9 billion, 14%), the CIS (146.2 billion, 8.4%), Africa (125.1 billion, 7.2%), and Europe (13.6 billion, 0.8%).
