Global proven crude oil reserves total 1,732 billion barrels, with the Middle East accounting for the largest share (835.9 billion barrels, 48%), followed by South & Central America (323.4 billion, 19%), North America (242.9 billion, 14%), the CIS (146.2 billion, 8.4%), Africa (125.1 billion, 7.2%), and Europe (13.6 billion, 0.8%).
