The Labour Force Survey 2020–21 reveals that out of Pakistan’s 58.6 million youth (aged 15–29 years), 21.8 million were Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET), resulting in a national NEET rate of 37%.
The visualisation presents the highest and lowest NEET rates across divisions within each province of Pakistan. In Punjab, the NEET rate ranges from 30.5% in D.G. Khan Division to 36.9% in Gujranwala Division. In Sindh, the lowest NEET rate is 34% in Larkana Division, while the highest is 42% in Hyderabad Division. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the NEET rate varies from 38.6% in Hazara Division to 50.4% in Kohat Division. In Balochistan, the lowest NEET rate is 30.8% in Nasirabad Division, whereas the highest is 51.4% in Kalat Division.
