U.S. grocery prices increased 1.3% over the last year

Grocery food prices increased 1.3% from September 2023 to September 2024. 

And this isn't a new trend — grocery prices have been increasing for more than just the past year. Food prices rose by 11% between 2021 and 2022, marking the largest annual increase in 40 years.
