Over the past ten years, nearly every fast food restaurant chain has raised its prices, but which menu items have led the way?

Out of all the fast food menu items, McDonalds’ McChicken sandwich saw the greatest price increase, almost tripling in price from $1.00 in 2014 to $2.99 in 2024.

McDonalds’ McDouble burger and medium fries also ranked second and third respectively for greatest price increases.

Many fast food establishments have bumped up their prices significantly more than the Federal Reserve's measure of food inflation growth of 48% since 2014.

Experts say the cost of producing and serving fast food, in the form of food prices and wages, are rising at a faster rate than the overall inflation rate.
