"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia holds a leading position in the global date market. Saudi Arabia has successfully registered dates as a 'super fruit' with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the year 2027 has been designated as the 'International Year of Dates'. Regarding economic significance, the Kingdom's date exports in 2023 constituted 0.7% of the Kingdom's non-oil exports. This report illustrates the upward trend in the growth of Saudi date exports over a full decade (from 2015 to 2024)."
