Key takeaway

Nearly all of these countries are located in high-growth regions like Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa. There are a few outliers, though, such as Guyana.

Context

Guyana is a small country in South America that borders Brazil and Venezuela. It was the world’s fastest growing economy in 2022 (+62%) thanks to rising oil exports from Stabroek Block, an offshore oil field being developed by Exxon Mobil.
