The data is from an IPSOS survey of 23,721 adults from Oct. 25 to Nov. 8, 2024.
Rising Optimism for 2025 Global Economy
Global sentiment toward the economy going into 2025 is only slightly more optimistic than last year, as the global average rose by one point relative to the 2024 survey results, which had a 50/50 split.
Many Asian countries are far more optimistic about the global economy in 2025 compared to European countries.
Japan and South Korea are the two countries in Asia with a notably pessimistic outlook for the global economy next year.
U.S. expectations for a stronger global economy next year rose by nine percentage points from last year’s survey, resulting in an optimistic majority of 54%.
