Foreign holdings of U.S. Treasury securities rose 10.0% year-over-year to $9.13 trillion in Q2 2025. Asia remained the largest holder with $3.74 trillion, followed by Europe at $3.46 trillion and the Americas (excluding the U.S.) at $1.70 trillion. Among individual countries, Japan led with $1.15 trillion, ahead of the United Kingdom ($0.86 trillion) and China ($0.76 trillion).
