Advanced Economies See Record Decline in CO2 Emissions Even as GDP Grows

Advanced economies saw a record decline in their CO2 emissions in 2023 even as their GDP grew. With low-emissions sources now providing over half of their electricity generation, advanced economies' emissions have fallen back to levels seen 50 years ago.
