Bad Bunny clearly runs the early part of the decade, sitting at #1 from 2020 through 2022 and then jumping back to the top again in 2025, with Taylor Swift taking over the #1 spot in 2023 and 2024. Artists like Drake and The Weeknd don’t always dominate, but they never really disappear, bouncing around the top five throughout the chart.
The lower ranks change a lot more from year to year, which shows how fast trends move on Spotify. Artists like Juice WRLD, BTS, J Balvin, and Olivia Rodrigo peak for a moment and then fade, while newer names like Peso Pluma, Feid, Arijit Singh, and Fuerza Regida show how global and genre-diverse streaming has become by the mid-2020s.
