This chart shows how Microsoft’s stock price has changed over time alongside major Windows releases. Each marked point represents an important release in the Windows operating system, from early versions in the 1980s to the latest editions.
Interestingly, Microsoft’s share price was higher during the Windows XP period than it was near the release of Windows 7. At the time of the Windows 7 release, the stock was only around $25, and today it has climbed to about $525.
