Note: This dataset only includes startups that received over $1.5M in private investment.
Chasing the American dream
America’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident here, with the U.S. funding more AI startups than all of the other countries on this list.
In terms of capital, American AI startups raised an impressive $335B in private investment between 2013 and 2023, which is again significantly more than other countries. Chinese AI companies raised $104B over the same timeframe, while UK firms raised $22B.
