The top companies have committed to climate programs like the 1.5°C target from the Science Based Targets initiative and have earned high scores from CDP, which manages global environmental impact disclosure. TIME and Statista evaluated companies based on their Scope 1 and 2 emissions, energy consumption relative to company size, emissions reductions in 2021 and 2022, and the use of renewable energy in their operations.
