Labor Costs at Major US Automakers

With United Auto Workers (UAW) commencing strikes against America’s Big Three (Ford, GM, and Stellantis) on Sept. 14, it’s likely that the union will be able to secure at least a modest pay raise for its members.

One benefactor from this ongoing situation is Tesla, which already has a substantial labor cost advantage due to its non-unionized workforce.
