Data is sourced from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Per their metrics, a flight is considered "on-time" if it arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled time.

The Data on Delta

Delta Airlines had the most on-time flights (84%) amongst the 10 major U.S. airlines between January and March, 2024. They also had the second-highest total flights (353K) in the same time period.

However, in July, Delta canceled roughly 6,500 flights over the course of one week due to the CrowdStrike outage. This is more than twice the cancelations in the entire first quarter of the year.
