This chart looks at how will U.S. consumers are to purchase Chinese-made vehicles. The data comes from an AutoPacific survey from March 2024.

3 Things to Know

1. 35% of those surveyed said they would definitely or maybe purchase a car from a Chinese brand
2. That said, answers from various age groups differed greatly. Those below 40 years of age were far more likely to be open to buying a Chinese-made car
3. Even though younger respondents were more open to buying a car from a Chinese brand, they had similar levels of privacy concerns about doing so. 77% of respondents would be very or somewhat concerned about their personal data being made available to these brands
