Where Is Infrastructure A Roadblock To Buying EVs?
A survey by Statista Consumer Insights has found that a key reason blocking potential electric vehicle (EV) converts in several European countries from buying an EV is the problem of poor electric infrastructure. In several northern and western European countries, upwards of one in five people said that this was the case. In Norway, which already has stronger EV infrastructure, only eight percent of respondents said the same.
The share of respondents saying that limited infrastructure is preventing them from buying an electric car was also lower in several countries in eastern Europe (Poland 14 percent; Romania 13 percent) and southern Europe (Italy 15 percent; Greece 14 percent), although likely for different reasons. Meanwhile, in both the United States and in China, only 13 percent of respondents said the same.
