Perhaps a sign of the times, the electric crossover Mustang Mach-E achieved record U.S. sales of 51,745 units in 2024 (a 27% increase from 2023).
This record was reached despite the Mach-E losing its $7,500 EV tax credit in 2024 due to restrictions on Chinese battery materials.
Ford is currently working with its battery partner, LG Energy Solution, to bring EV battery production to Michigan.
