This data comes from Consumer Reports annual auto survey, which involves responses from owners of more than 330,000 vehicles.
Rivian surpasses Tesla in this metric
Tesla held the #1 spot last year on this ranking, but has been replaced by Rivian for 2024.
Rivian has carved an interesting niche for itself with its outdoor adventure-focused models, and despite several recalls and financial woes, appears to have won the hearts of its early customers.
Infiniti in dead last
Nissan’s luxury marque scores poorly in terms of brand loyalty, with only 43% of owners saying they would revisit the brand for their next car.
Infiniti dealerships have attributed this to the brand’s aging lineup. Here’s what Infiniti National Dealer Advisory Board chairman Steve Lapin said recently:
“Product is king. Infiniti doesn’t have the right products right now to compete in the marketplace.”
